Test Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Test Technician to support testing and validation of accelerometers and related products. The technician will be responsible for test setup, executing test operations, documenting results, troubleshooting issues, and preparing products for final inspection and customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare test documentation and fixtures required for accelerometer testing.
• Initiate and maintain test operations from setup through completion.
• Perform rate table and vibration-related testing.
• Conduct final testing on customer equipment for product validation.
• Maintain detailed daily process logs, including test results, faults, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers and Production Managers on testing strategies, troubleshooting, and planning.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during testing.
• Disassemble products from test fixtures and perform cleaning/finalization activities.
• Prepare products for final inspection by validating paperwork and database routing.
• Perform other production-related activities when testing does not require observation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Test Technician experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous test experience or equivalent education.
• Must be a U.S. Person.
• Experience with hardware/electronics testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a digital multimeter (DMM).
• Knowledge of ESD principles and mitigation practices.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Good computer skills, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
• Strong communication, teamwork, initiative, and accountability.
• Ability to work onsite in Niagara Falls, NY.

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC J-STD-001 certification.
• Technical degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Production, test, or electronics manufacturing experience.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Experience with accelerometer, vibration, or rate-table testing.
