The Demand Planner will take an active part in implementing a common Operations Planning and Control Framework for JBT Marel, based on best practices. The Demand Planner is positioned within the sales function of the industry and will report to the Manager Demand Planning (if applicable). The Demand Planner will work closely with the sales engineers, layout design, Techcenter, manufacturing colleagues and project managers.Reports to Director of Sales Engineering (functional – strategy) Director of Sales EngineeringResponsibilities :Responsible for coordinating, providing and planning targeted delivery dates / periodsPlay an active day to day role in the Master Scheduling process to ensure smooth order executionMaintain a total overview of the open orders within the industry and what phase they are in, mix demand input into the Master ScheduleTake key decisions such as in which manufacturing location to produce equipment based onguidelines provided by the supply chainResolve issues that come up within the order execution process, reschedule orders as neededGenerates input into the monthly sales, operations & resources planning process to plan for upcoming changes in the business which includes activities like:Translate the sales forecast in EUR's into a demand in hours building up the demand pipelineOrganize the resource planning capacity within sales of the industryParticipate in drafting demand-capacity scenarios for Sales (lead times, revenues and resources)Execute sales, operations & resources planning actions in industryKeeping all relevant stakeholders informed regularlySkills and AbilitiesExcellent communication skillsProcess orientedKnowledge of ERP, OP&C, Master Production Scheduling, Demand management and ForecastingKnowledge of order to cash processesOpen to share knowledge and adopt best practices with colleagues across JBT MarelSelf-starting and operate in a planned/structured way and active in setting and achieving goalsAble to build bridges and connections with other departmentsContinuous improvement mindset, able to think outside the boxEagerness to understand the end products and services of the IndustryCore CompetenciesResilience in Dynamic Environments: Quickly adapts to forecast volatility, supply disruptions, and changing demand signals while maintaining accuracy and continuityEmotional Intelligence: Remains objective when receiving input from Sales, Finance, and Operations; separates data-driven insights from subjective opinionsConfidence in Decision-Making: Makes sound, data-driven forecasting and inventory decisions despite conflicting inputs or uncertaintyComposure Under Pressure: Maintains focus and effectiveness during tight planning cycles,escalations, and high-impact business reviewsConstructive Feedback Orientation: Actively incorporates feedback from cross-functional partners tocontinuously improve forecast accuracy and planning processesMental Toughness: Handles forecast misses, shifting priorities, and business challenges without losing momentum or accountabilityAnalytical Self-Awareness: Continuously evaluates forecast performance, identifies gaps, andimplements improvementsStrong Professional Boundaries: Effectively challenges assumptions and pushes back when needed while maintaining collaborative relationshipsEducation, Knowledge, and ExperienceBachelors or masters degree in business or ScienceExperience in production control, planning or project management is preferred.Experience with ERP systemsExcellent English skills, both written and verbalExperience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organizationPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift to 15 pounds at timesHybrid work schedule, 3/4 days in office and 1/2 days remoteCommitment to Global Health & SafetyAt its core, Health and Safety is about ensuring everyone ends each day safely - and with the confidence that their well-being truly matters.
