Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage / Security Alarm Technician to join a growing security systems team in Charlottesville, VA.

This is a hands-on field position for someone with experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low-voltage security systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, diagnosing system issues, and providing professional service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage security systems
• Work with burglar/intrusion alarm systems, CCTV/video surveillance, and access control systems
• Install and troubleshoot alarm panels, keypads, sensors, cameras, card readers, and related equipment
• Pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring and cabling
• Diagnose system issues and complete necessary repairs
• Perform system testing and verify proper operation
• Complete service calls and installations independently
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding system operation, repairs, and service needs
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work
• Follow company safety procedures and installation standards

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience as a Low Voltage Technician, Alarm Technician, Security Systems Technician, or similar role
• Experience with security/alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and/or intrusion systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Ability to use hand and power tools associated with low-voltage installation
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Must meet company vehicle insurance and underwriting requirements
• Professional and dependable with strong customer service skills
