Enterprise ArchitectAt Regions, the Enterprise Architect oversees multiple dimensions of assigned applications and/or capabilities including but not limited to stability, life cycle management, version control, design and development of technology solutions, mapping of business requirements to capability oriented technical requirements, and ensuring Technology solutions to business needs are developed in accordance with the enterprise architectural roadmap, guidelines, and standards.Primary ResponsibilitiesManages end to end from conception, through delivery, into production of enterprise architecturesPartners with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutionsLeads the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projectsDesigns both the physical and logical components of solution architectures that will deliver a positive business outcomeCollaborates with other domain architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solutionOversees technical analysis and design capabilitiesFacilitates technology design workshops for emerging technologiesValidates designs produced by third party vendors wishing to sell solutions to the organizationAligns IT strategy and planning with the company's business goals and objectivesPromotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flowsCollaborates on roadmaps to align information technology priorities with business partner requirements and strategiesBuilds and maintains technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision makers within TechnologyWorks with developers to ensure that technical solutions align with the overall Information Technology architecture frameworks and design guidelinesWorks with Portfolio technology leaders to include technical debt initiatives to portfolio roadmapOversees data integration and configurationProvides consultation on the most complex projectsLeads the work of othersThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.This position is incentive eligible.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field and ten (10) years of enterprise, solutions and/or technical architecture experienceExperience of N-tier architectures and complex design architecturesExperience with technical, application, and information architecture delivery techniques and methodologiesExperience with Agile methodsCertifications/LicensuresCertifications in the technology domain of the enterpriseSkills and CompetenciesAn understanding of, and ability to use, design patterns to steer business requirements into enterprise wide technical strategiesAwareness and ability to document designs using internal and external notational standards (Business Process Model and Notation {BPMN}, Unified Modeling Language {UML})Hands on the keyboard depth in one or more popular programming languages like Java, Go, C#, Rust, Python, etc.Knowledge of security design techniquesUnderstanding the technology of the organization, e.g. Middleware, .NET, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Oracle, etc.Working knowledge of modern Operating Systems (Linux/Windows), Networking, Servers/Mainframe, Secure Coding Practices, Development Environments (Java/.Net), Databases (DB2/Oracle/SQL Server)The role of Enterprise Architect requires strong interpersonal skills and solid business acumen to effectively partner with stakeholders and influence direction across the organization.Additional Primary Responsibilities:Engage effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, communication, and influence to drive alignment across business and technology stakeholdersApplies strong business acumen to ensure architectural decisions to support organizational strategy, financial considerations, and expected business outcomesAdditional Skills and Competencies:Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated business acumen, including understanding of financial impacts, organizational strategy, and how architectural decisions support business objectivesThis position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, or Charlotte, NC.Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.Job Range Target:Minimum:$170,048.45 USDMedian:$209,120.00 USDIncentive Pay Plans:This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.
