Deburr Technician

Aerospace Deburring TechnicianDeburr all types of precision machined aerospace parts per blueprint and work order instructions.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeburr various metal parts using stationary abrasive wheels, hand held rotary air tools, and hand scraping devices.Apply abrasives to parts to remove sharp edges left as a byproduct of machining.Inspect critical dimensions to ensure components adhere to blueprint specifications.Operate drill presses using wire brushes and conical burr cutters.Clean parts as necessary using solvents.Operate various deburring equipment.Required to check critical dimensions +/-.0002Clean work areas including benches, shelves, walls, carts, and mopping floors.Seek lean process improvement ideas.Qualification RequirementsEducation/Experience High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Minimum 1-2 years of related experience or training.Language Skills Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of supervisors or employees.Math Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Skills Ability to understand and follow instructions conveyed through written, verbal, or diagrammatic means.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer/Office Skills Basic windows/internet browserERP/InventoryPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands Frequent Activities: Handling objects, reaching, and talking/hearing.Occasional activities: Standing, sitting, walking, typing, Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25lbs.Rare activities: Climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (50+ lbs)Vision Requirements Frequent: Close vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus,Occasional: Computer work, color vision, peripheral visionRare: Distance vision,Work Environment Frequent exposure: Mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, vibrations, moderate-to-loud noiseOccasional exposure: very loud noiseRare exposure: High places and Outdoor weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and very quiet noise levelsAbout Crissair, Inc.Since 1954, Crissair has manufactured high-quality precision components for nearly every airframe manufacturer and major subcontractor in the industry for both military and commercial aircraft.
