Seeking a full-time Editorial Assistant to support Kwame Alexander Books, this role involves providing editorial support, collaborating with various teams to execute book projects, and managing administrative tasks, with the flexibility to work remotely or in hybrid arrangements from specific states. Key responsibilities: Provide editorial support by reading and evaluating manuscripts and assisting with acquisitions materials Collaborate with design, marketing, and production teams to ensure smooth book project execution Draft book copy and manage administrative tasks including scheduling and maintaining author files Required qualifications: A college degree and/or equivalent work or internship experience A passion for children's books and knowledge of the publishing marketplace Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and stay organized under pressure Familiarity with book production processes and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite A positive attitude and initiative to grow in book and product development
