Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a CVICU RN for a 15-week travel assignment in Aurora, Colorado. Responsibilities / Essential Work Functions Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to changes in condition Administer complex medications and treatments per approved critical care nursing techniques Operate and manage advanced life support equipment Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments; address physical and emotional needs Document significant conditions, reactions, and interventions; notify the appropriate provider of changes in patient status Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery catheters) Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly for continuity of care and regulatory compliance Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education Adhere to infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU outcomes and operational efficiency Perform other duties as assigned within scope Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications Preferred Qualifications Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification TNCC, NIHSS certification Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary and to move equipment (50-100 lbs), push/pull, and bend Ability to work effectively with a range of personnel and maintain professionalism Technical/motor skills to assist with procedures and use department equipment Mental ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle irregular schedules Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first-day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and Short-term disability coverage 401(k) matching Aggressive Refer-a-Friend Bonus Program 24/7 recruiter support Licensure and CEU reimbursement #J-18808-Ljbffr TravelNurseSource
