Location: Livermore, California (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

This position performs a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules. The role involves expediting parts to remedy shortage problems, engaging with suppliers, and monitoring the flow of materials between departments to ensure scheduled commitments are met. The contract duration is estimated for two years.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, route, and expedite materials to support production requirements.
• Engage with suppliers to obtain confirmed delivery commitments and expedite parts to resolve shortages.
• Communicate with suppliers to verify order status, shipment details, and resolve delivery issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor incoming materials to ensure proper routing and timely receipt.
• Track the flow of materials and parts between departments to meet scheduled commitments using system tools.
• Escalate delivery delays and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop and execute recovery plans.
• Assist with urgent material needs by expediting inventory movement to minimize production impact.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma

Skills: Candidates must demonstrate strong communication and relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is preferred.
