Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM | Nights

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other patient care interventions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with ADLs, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation.
• Coordinate patient transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support as needed.
• Provide age-, culture-, and condition-appropriate patient and family education.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Circulate during C-sections and assist physicians during deliveries as needed.
• Provide postoperative recovery and surgical patient care according to facility policies.
• Attend the neonatal station during C-sections and perform complete neonatal assessments after delivery.
• Maintain required fetal monitoring competency and participate in certification classes every two years.
• Attend STABLE certification training when offered.
• Maintain NRP certification.
• Recognize and communicate clinically significant information to physicians and other members of the care team.

Required Certifications

• ACLS American Heart Association
• BLS American Heart Association
• NRP
• STABLE
• AWHONN
• All required certifications must be included with the submission.

License Requirement

• Active Alabama RN license or valid Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• License documentation must be included with the resume/submission.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in:
• Level I Nursery
• Postpartum
• OB/GYN
• Labor & Delivery / LDRP
• Experience may include:
• OB/GYN patients, including post-op hysterectomy
• Antepartum care
• OB triage
• Labor & Delivery
• Postpartum care
