Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Department:Operating Room Position is located: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Work Type:Full Time Work Schedule:Variable Salary Range: $19.00 - $26.64 Exempt: No Summary Assists anesthesiologists in the administration of anesthesia for surgical and non-surgical procedures. Monitors patient status and provide patient care during surgical treatment. Responsibilities Insures a complete setup for anesthesia services in all anesthetizing locations. Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes all anesthesia equipment. Assists anesthesia personnel with preparation/placement of IV fluids, regional anesthesia techniques, physiologic monitoring, airway equipment, and anesthesia machine set up/troubleshooting Assists with transport of monitored patients. Seeks opportunities for professional growth and development. Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed. May perform other duties upon request. Education Required High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Working Conditions Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
