Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP/APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Location: New Jersey Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP/APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing cardiology team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient cardiac care while collaborating closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Independently evaluate and manage cardiac patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. See an average of 10-15 inpatients per day and approximately 2 outpatient visits per hour. Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic cardiac conditions. Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop treatment plans. Prescribe medications and other appropriate treatments. Perform cardiac stress testing (training provided if needed). Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required. (RN experience alone does not qualify). Hospitalist experience may be considered if it includes significant cardiac patient care. Comfortable evaluating and treating cardiac patients independently. Prior critical care experience preferred. Experience performing cardiac stress testing is preferred but not required. Expert EKG interpretation skills. Active New Jersey NP or PA license, CDS, and NJ DEA. Proof of prior malpractice insurance coverage (including tail coverage, if applicable). Willingness to complete hospital and insurance credentialing (approximately 3-6 months).
