We currently have an immediate opening for a Small Engine Repair Mechanic in our Rental & Repair Department.

Position Summary

The Small Engine Repair Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small gas-powered and electric tools and equipment. This position also supports the rental counter by assisting customers, processing rentals and sales, and maintaining shop organization. Our ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform hands-on diagnostics and repairs on a wide variety of power tools and equipment.

· Provide excellent customer support—helping DIYers and contractors find the right tools for the job.

· Maintain and organize shop area, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency

· Order replacement parts and research schematics as needed

· Prepare and maintain rental fleet equipment in safe, operable condition

· Process and track warranty claims and service orders

· Ship out items for repair when necessary

· Write up and complete related task paperwork accurately and timely

· Train and assist customers on proper use of rental equipment

· Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment

· 1+ year of small engine repair experience preferred (will train the right candidate)

· High school diploma or GED required

· Experience with Stihl, Makita, Milwaukee, Honda, and similar small engine brands a plus.

· Ability to stand and move for most of the day

· Ability to lift 25–100 lbs

· Strong time management and customer service skills

· Proficiency in written and verbal communication

· Basic computer skills (POS or service ticket systems experience a plus)

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
