Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatrics RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring med/surg experience and BLS/PALS certification.

Details

• 18-bed pediatric unit providing high-quality, short-stay care across two distinct sides for efficient patient flow
• Cares for pediatric patients with conditions including appendectomies, tonsil/adenoidectomies, viral illnesses, ingestions requiring medical clearance, and behavioral health concerns with underlying medical needs
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Floating required between this facility and a sister hospital in Overland Park, KS, approximately 12 miles away

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Kansas RN license required; those starting at the main campus may begin with a pending KS license if documentation of application is provided
• BLS and PALS certification required (AHA only; RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Med/Surg experience required
• Behavioral/psychiatric and pediatric experience preferred
• Must pass a medication/dosage test with 100% accuracy within first week (up to 3 attempts allowed)
