Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with at least 3 years of OR experience and Level I/II Trauma background for a teaching hospital surgical services position. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience required At least 2 years of Level I (preferred) or Level II (required) Trauma OR experience required BLS certification required Teaching hospital experience required Epic EMR experience preferred Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred Prior travel experience preferred 1:1 patient ratio experience Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program License required if applicable Responsibilities Works in a General OR setting within a teaching hospital Provides surgical support for neurosurgery, spine, complex ortho/ortho-spine, and complex general surgery including bariatric cases Also involved in trauma, transplant (kidney, liver, pancreas), and thoracic surgical cases Uses Epic charting system Variable day/evening shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours between 0630-2330, 36-40 hours per week Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed Call requirements include weekdays 2100-0630 and weekends 0630-1900 or 1830-0700 Provide surgical technologist support across a broad range of specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT, plastics, and vascular procedures Assist with robotic-assisted surgeries including Da Vinci Xi and SP systems Maintain aseptic technique, instrument processing, and sterilization/disinfection standards Handle specimen labeling, wound care, and universal protocol (time-out) procedures Operate and maintain surgical equipment including electrosurgical units, drills, cell savers, and fiber optic light sources Follow radiation, laser, and sharps safety protocols Local candidates accepted at the same rate Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for a travel assignment Requested time off must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr
