EcoShield Waste Traffic Controller

Job Description Job Summary: The Traffic Controller is responsible for the supervision and success of the Miami, FL transfer station. Key Responsibilities: Direct traffic in and out of the transfer station Communicate with Dispatch Manage equipment counts to reflect customer needs Supervise and train drivers Manage movement of equipment to ensure efficient workflow Enforce all safety policies and procedures and conduct regular inspections Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations Manage operation and maintenance of heavy equipment Tarping required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred 3-5+ years of relevant experience in waste management, logistics, or operations Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and waste materials Able to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed Ability to operate machinery and perform site inspection Preferred Qualifications: OSHA certification CDL Heavy equipment operation certification Bilingual in English and Spanish Benefits and Additional Compensation: Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, which may include: Health, dental, and vision insurance $25,000 Company paid life insurance Voluntary supplemental insurance 401(k) plan participation Paid time off and holiday pay Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
