Instructional Assistant Child Care - Part-Time

Child Care Worker Part‑Time Four day work week for scholars and employees. Job Goal Responsible for providing quality child care and instruction in a day care setting and adhering to ADHS codes and statutes. Qualifications High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) Level 1 Fingerprint card, TB test Preferred: First Aid/CPR, and Food Handlers Card (can get once hired) Preferred: 6 months experience in a licensed child care facility Performance Responsibilities Provides care and instruction to promote academic and social/emotional growth Monitors children’s behavior and safety inside and outside of the classroom Assists with clean‑up and other related tasks following daily activities Prepares classroom for activities, including creating lessons and preparing materials Creates bulletin boards, maintains materials and supplies, contacts parents, and may make copies May attend in‑service training sessions Performs other duties of a similar nature or level Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing Incumbents may be subjected to blood and other body fluids Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures Knowledge of applicable Cartwright School District and departmental policies and procedures Early Childhood Development Monitoring and assisting children with activities Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction Terms of Employment Reports To: Site Administrator Location: Cartwright Employee Childcare Supervises: N/A Calendar: 10 month Job Category: Classified Beginning Salary: ESP Salary Schedule A; As approved by the Governing Board Benefits: As approved by the governing board FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt Deadline for Application: Until filled #J-18808-Ljbffr Cartwright School District
