As the Lead DSP you will be responsible for assisting in managing all operational aspects of a residential program within St. John's Community Services.Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:Assists people in utilizing generic public resources and increasing their exposure to general life experiences.Participates in training and mentoring new employees.Monitors daily notes to validate services and support provided meet identified goal.Ensures all documentation captures applicable service definitions and clearly states the supports provided to meet individual goals.Reviews/Approves daily service notes and enters service billing as applicable.Provides staff feedback on quality and compliance standards of service notes.Assists supervisor with timely and accurate billing for services within the program.Schedules and attends medical appointments with individuals and follows through with physicians' orders as necessary.Maintains work environments consistent with family expectations and ensures homes are clean and presentable.Encourages independence in all areas, provides direct care and assistance with personal care when needed.Transports individuals to and from work, day activities, school, medical, social and other activitiesSupport individuals to become independent, make decisions, and live a meaningful dignified life with valued social roles (ex: friend, neighbor, student, employee)Perform direct support duties as per the program schedule and/or program need.Ensuring that PSR's are done after every transaction in therap.Physical and environmental conditions include:The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, and/or avoidance of trips and falls.The hiring rate for this position is $21.50.Other benefits include the following:Medical, dental, vision, STD, and other benefits and company contributionsRetirement plans.Company paid LTD.Connectivity reimbursements (some employees)PTO, Vacation, and sick time off.FlexibilityFamily cultureHelping other people live their best life!Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.QualificationsThis list of responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this position is not in its entirety as other duties may be assigned and are expected to be followed.You will catch our eye if you have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize internal software programs.Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to respond effectively in high stress/critical situations.Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people at various levels of the organization.Valid Driver's License with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicleSuccessful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checksExtra credit will be given if you have the following experience, education, and requirements:High school diploma or equivalentAssociate degree, or 60 credit hours, and 6 months of related work experience preferredOne year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilitiesAll SJCS employees must:Obtain a valid health certificate to meet SJCS or current funding authority requirements as required.Meet SJCS and the funding authority requirement of criminal background and record checks.Do you think that you are a great fit for this position?
