Overview Event Staff– Seasonal role in Long Beach, CA. Seasonal position with a Sept – Nov schedule. Hourly rate: $19.00. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is a leading creator of immersive, story-driven entertainment and the world’s largest operator of Halloween attractions, with markets across the United States. Responsibilities Traffic Flow Management: guide guests through the attraction, keep lines moving, minimize wait times, direct visitors to queue lines, entrances, and exits, and implement crowd management strategies to maintain safety and maximize the guest experience; proactively identify bottlenecks and respond quickly to maintain steady flow. Customer Service: deliver friendly, professional assistance at every interaction; answer questions, provide clear instructions, and help guests understand rules and layout; address concerns with empathy and resolve issues promptly. Event Operations: participate in setup and teardown, keep areas clean and organized, work with team to maintain the immersive environment; ensure props, décor, and effects are in place and functioning; support special event needs as they arise. Safety and Security: stay alert for safety hazards and report them to management; assist security personnel in maintaining a secure environment; respond calmly and efficiently in emergencies. Communication: collaborate with actors, managers, and team members to ensure a seamless guest experience; share updates, coordinate crowd movements, and contribute ideas to improve operations. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (employment eligibility verified through E-Verify) Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the event season—non-negotiable Comfortable in dark, loud, high-energy environments with strobe effects, fog, and close guest interaction Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced, high-volume situations Compensation & Employment Details Hourly Rate: $19.00/hr Employment Type: Seasonal/Temporary Expected Season Duration: Late September – Early November 2026 Work Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays required during operational season This is a seasonal/temporary position with an anticipated end date. Employment beyond the stated season is not guaranteed. Pursuant to California SB 1162, the hourly pay rate is listed above.
