The posted compensation range of $33.02 - $37.48/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Cook, you will help patients, staff, and visitors experience high-quality, nutritious dining so they can recover faster and enjoy a positive healthcare environment.

Every day you will prepare and serve a variety of meals while adhering to strict therapeutic dietary guidelines. You will be expected to maintain rigorous food safety standards, operate kitchen equipment with precision, and ensure every meal served meets our facility's high quality-control benchmarks.

To be successful in this role you will possess a deep understanding of food safety regulations, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in recipe adherence, and demonstrate a commitment to sanitation in and cross-contamination prevention to ensure the health and safety of our entire community.

• Follow recipes and menus to cook healthy meals for patients and staff, including those with special dietary needs or allergies.
• Use and maintain kitchen tools like ovens, grills, and mixers safely and effectively.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and follow state and federal health regulations at all times.
• Ensure the kitchen and serving areas are sanitized and organized, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
• Properly label and store food and kitchen equipment to prevent waste and ensure safety.
• Practice strict hygiene and food handling techniques to keep all meals safe and free from cross-contamination.

Required

• One (1) year foodservice experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
