Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with WI or compact license and 2+ years of OR experience across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Operating Room unit setting within a hospital
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No scheduled weekends but weekend call required (currently 1 in 4)
• Holiday coverage as needed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Floating required as needed
• Caseload includes General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN procedures

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required within General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN
• Inpatient RN travelers must have 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty submitted
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric cardiac rhythm identification

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecologic, orthopedic, general, urologic, robotic, and ENT procedures
• Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and other robotic platforms is a plus
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, and emergency response protocols preferred
• Free onsite parking available
• Up to three attempts allowed on the required telemetry exam, with a cardiac interpretation course certificate needed after a second failed attempt
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
