Automotive Technician Automotive Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team of 6 technicians. This role involves diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of light to medium duty vehicles, from routine oil changes to complex transmission swaps. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience, owns their own tools, and has reliable transportation. This position reports to the Service Manager and offers stable career growth with opportunities for skill specialization.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automotive issues across multiple makes and models
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes and inspections
Manage inventory of tools and parts to support repairs
Ensure all work complies with safety standards
Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient shop operations

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in automotive repair
Technical certificate in automotive technology
Proficient in engine diagnostics, brake systems, and electrical systems
Strong tool usage and problem-solving skills
Effective time management abilities
