Energy Attorney

Our client, an AmLaw Firm is seeking 3rd to 7th year associates with a transactional focus in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing and drafting key project development contracts such as power purchase agreements and other offtake arrangements, working on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions, and serving as the go-to associate on project and portfolio acquisitions and related financing support. An ability to use and adapt a range of commercial structures for solar, wind, geothermal, natural gas, battery, nuclear projects, and data center and utility buyers will be valuable; a desire to develop mastery of structuring and negotiating energy project development transactions will be essential. The role includes project development and commercial transactions, project finance and securitization, corporate finance, and energy regulatory. This position will involve daily direct contact with a wide range of clients, partners, and counterparty counsel, so strong communication and project management skills are required. Compensation and Benefits Salary range of $260,000 – $420,000, based on year classification. Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
