I&E Maintenance Planner

The I&E Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting maintenance activities for instrumentation, electrical, and associated plant systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility. This position develops detailed work packages, manages maintenance planning and scheduling activities, coordinates material and contractor resources, and maintains accurate equipment and maintenance records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

The Planner partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and contractor personnel to improve work execution, optimize outage planning, enhance equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive maintenance work packages for non-emergency maintenance activities, including field scoping, job planning, labor estimates, material requirements, safety considerations, equipment history review, procedures, drawings, permits, tooling, and scheduling requirements.
• Review, prioritize, and convert approved work requests into executable work orders; coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, and support personnel to develop short- and long-range maintenance schedules and ensure timely availability of required materials, resources, and services.
• Manage the maintenance work management process through work order completion and closure, ensuring accurate documentation, CMMS records, equipment history, technical files, procedures, drawings, and master parts information are maintained and updated as necessary.
• Procure and coordinate routine and non-routine contractor services, including vendor communications, purchase requisitions, scope development, contractor oversight, and support of planned outages and maintenance activities.
• Analyze maintenance information and equipment history to improve planning effectiveness, work execution, equipment reliability, and overall maintenance performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations by collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, contractors, and other stakeholders, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a related technical field; or
• Equivalent combination of education, military training, and relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in power generation, industrial maintenance, electrical and instrumentation maintenance, maintenance planning, outage planning, or a related technical environment.
• Experience using CMMS platforms such as Asset Suite, Maximo, SAP PM, or similar maintenance management systems preferred.
• Experience supporting maintenance outages, contractor coordination, and work package development strongly preferred.

$95,000 - $110,000 a year

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires frequent travel for company business. Candidates should be comfortable operating a vehicle as part of their job responsibilities and must meet any applicable company and insurance requirements.
