Technical Writer - Senior (6-10 Yrs)

Senior Tech Writer

As an experienced technical writer, you will join the Office of the CTO team to help document strategic technology strategies for Client Technology Services. As the ideal candidate you will have proven success in a highly technical field, such as software development, computer science, or engineering.

You will work with Chief Architects, Principal Architects, Distinguished Engineers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Systems Analysts and Engineers to create and edit technology strategies, technology handbooks, solution architectures, architecture patterns, and application and systems documentation.

What you will do:

• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
• Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.
• Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success.
• Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement.
• Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand technologies.
• Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write materials.

What you have:

• Strong writing skills, be detailed oriented, organized, inquisitive, independent and be a quick learner.
• 6-10 years in comparable position.
• Expert knowledge of Atlassian Confluence, Microsoft SharePoint, Word and Visio, along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office tools.
• Proven ability to learn, evaluate and analyze complex information and a natural desire to help people understand it.
• Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
• Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in software development.
