Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Mooresville, Indiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel position requiring critical care experience and floating flexibility across multiple units.Details\n \n 8-bed ICU within an Intensive Care Medical Surgical Nursing unit\n Patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in PCU\n Cares for medical ICU patients including sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, cardiac, and stroke patients requiring telemetry\n Manages post-procedure and post-operative ICU patients requiring vasoactive medications and ventilator support\n Uses Philips telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitors, IV infusion pumps, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilators, crash cart, defibrillator, and continuous pulse oximetry\n Epic EMR used\n 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM\n Works every 4th weekend\n No call requirements\n Required to float to Med/Surg, PCU, and ED as needed, and may be assigned to another Franciscan Health facility based on staffing needs\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) required\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required\n Strong critical care experience with critically ill adult patients required\n Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, and titration of vasoactive drips\n Ability to work independently in a community hospital ICU setting\n Sepsis management, Rapid Response, and Code Blue experience preferred\n Experience floating to PCU/Med-Surg preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Works closely with providers, ED staff, and house supervisors in a smaller community hospital environment\n Cares for a wide variety of patient populations within an 8-bed ICU\n Team-oriented, flexible, and comfortable assisting across departments during emergent situations\n Navy blue scrubs required; open-toed shoes, excessive jewelry, artificial nails, and non-approved attire are not permitted\n Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are considered local and may be eligible at a reduced bill rate\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756739.
