TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Louisville, Kentucky.

Job Description & Requirements

UNIT: 8 HEART-LUNG PCU
Minimum Years of Experience required: 1 year.

Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes.

Heart monitor interpretation, trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, phlebotomy, experience post op heart surgery. Drips: Primacor, amiodarone, dobutamine, heparin

Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS preferred

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Intermediate/Step Down Cardiac Unit specializing in post OP Coronary Bypass Graft, Valve surgery, Chest pain, Dysrhythmia with pre/post Pacemaker/AICD placement, pre/post Cath Lab, CHF

EMR: Cerner

Ratios: 1:5

Floating: If yes, where? Yes, could float within scope of practice and below. Typically notified about 1 hour prior to shift beginning (via Smart Square)

Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
o On call? No
o Holiday Expectations: Based on unit needs
