Qualifications and Experience
• Valid SLP license for the state of New York
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Prior experience working in school environments preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Comfort supporting diverse student populations across various age groups and abilities
• Familiarity with IEP processes and special education procedures
Key Responsibilities
• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
• Provide direct speech-language therapy interventions in group and one-on-one settings
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists for comprehensive student support
• Participate in IEP meetings and complete all required documentation in a timely manner
• Monitor and report student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Promote effective communication skills in academic and social situations
