Medical Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a busy internal medicine practice with a solo physician. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small office environment and is comfortable managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling, including new visits, follow-ups, annual exams, and same-day appointments
• Manage incoming and outgoing faxes, including reviewing, organizing, and routing documents appropriately
• Send and track laboratory, imaging, and specialty referral orders
• Communicate with patients by phone regarding lab results and physician instructions
• Perform occasional patient triage via phone, gathering clinical information and relaying to the physician as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Ensure efficient daily office workflow and assist with general front- and back-office duties
• Support the physician in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
• E Clinical experience is required
• At least 2 years experience in primary care or internal medicine required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal communication skills and professional phone etiquette
• Ability to work independently in a small practice setting
