PB CIO Global Market Research Analyst/Associate Role

Join the Chief Investment Office (CIO), an investment team of 50+ professionals overseeing more than $600 billion of JPMorgan Private Bank & Wealth Management client assets globally. Work closely with senior portfolio managers (PM), market research and quantitative analytics experts specializing in single- and multi asset class strategies to drive long-term client outcomes. This junior Multi-Asset PM role will be an integral member of the CIO Global Market Research team, with responsibility for global portfolios across distribution channels. They will support the team’s strategic initiatives, thought leadership as well as ongoing macro/market research agenda.

  Job Responsibilities

- Support the end-to-end investment process to help drive timely and consistent implementation of investment views across portfolios globally.

- Monitor portfolio positioning and identify deviations from intended exposures.

- Partner with internal teams to support portfolio implementation and operational coordination.

- Identify opportunities to improve team processes and streamline workflows, including through the use of technology/AI techniques.

- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including new product offerings and investment capability development.

- Prepare research, presentations, and written commentary on macro or market developments and trends.

- Distill complex investment topics into clear and concise messages for both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Support portfolio-related communications and respond to ad hoc questions on investment views and positioning. 

  Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or another analytical or quantitative field.

- Experience in investment management, financial services, or a related field.

- Knowledge of global markets, macroeconomic concepts, and multi-asset investing.

- Experience using market data and research tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, Haver Analytics, etc).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to collaborate across a wide range of partners and stakeholders.

- High standards of professionalism and integrity in a fiduciary setting. 

  Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

- Advanced degree in a relevant field.

- Progress toward a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

- Experience with coding or data analysis tools such as Python or R.

- Experience preparing presentations or investment communications for varied audiences.

- Familiarity with portfolio analytics or quantitative research methods.
