Assistant Accessories Designer - Fashion Brand

Our client is seeking an Assistant Designer to join their Men's Accessories team in New York! This is a full-time hour contract role. Pay is dependent on years of experience.

You must have prior Accessories experience to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Design Director to conduct current market and vintage research via in-store shopping, periodicals and online resources
• Collaborate with Design Director to create mood and presentation boards for milestone meetings.
• Work with design team to create hand sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings for men's accessories.
• Partner with the design team to support and facilitate the creation of color cads for all fullprice Bags, SLGs and Belts
• T Work with the Design Director to facilitate the creation of technical drawings with detailed specifications including hardware and trims for Full Price and Outlet men's global bags collection
• Work with the design director and designer II to drive and own the technical drawings and specifications for SLGs and Charms for Men's Global Accessories
• Partner with Tech Desinger to Manage and facilitate the Centric/PLM data input and uploading for all Men's Bag, SLGs, Belts, Fullprice and Outlet for the full product lifestyle (proto, CPV, SMS, Bulk)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in design, preferably accessories, soft goods, home décor, gifting, or related product categories.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent sketching, CAD, and technical drawing skills.
• Strong understanding of color, print, pattern, and material development.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
