Heavy Equipment Diesel TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician with a strong background in commercial trucks (Class 8 semi-trucks and larger commercial vehicles), cranes, and construction equipment. This role is critical in maintaining our fleet and ensuring operations run at peak performance.What We Offer:Paid medical insurancePaid travel expensesPaid time off and 401KOngoing training and growth opportunitiesJob Responsibilities:Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered heavy equipment, commercial trucks, cranes, winches, loaders, and excavatorsPerform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and safety inspectionsTroubleshoot and repair engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical componentsUse diagnostic tools to assess and resolve mechanical issues efficientlyMaintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with FMCSA and safety regulationsPerform field service repairs when equipment cannot be transported to the shopManage parts inventory and assist with ordering necessary componentsHelp develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for the fleetEnsure proper handling and disposal of fluids and hazardous materialsQualifications:Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience working on heavy equipment and commercial trucks (Class 8 semi-trucks and larger commercial vehicles)Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systemsCDL Class A license required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hireProficiency in diagnostic tools and reading schematicsCertifications in Diesel Repair (ASE T1-T8 preferred)Heavy Equipment Certifications (NCCER, CAT, Komatsu, etc. – a plus)Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detailAbility to work Saturday or Sunday (weekday off provided in exchange)Willingness to travel overnight (1-2 nights per week) as needed
