Heavy Equipment Operator - CDL Required

John Smith Landfill, a Waste Connections company, has an immediate position available for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our operation in Hollister, CA. The primary duties of this job are operating a CDL required water truck, articulated haul truck, loader and other pieces of equipment on site. The schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday day shift - 8-10 hours per day. The starting pay rate will be $32-36/hour. We also offer great family benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation etc. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operating water truck, haul truck, loader and other equipment Loading recycle materials in a hopper Pushing up piles of yard debris, rubble Responsible for equipment inspection WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and occasional rain. The environment may be dusty, noisy, and require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection, gloves, and safety boots. There will be exposure to machinery and heavy equipment, so safety protocols and precautions are strictly followed.
