To support teaching and research activities of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Issue requisitions for items obtainable under State Contract. Supervise the maintenance of record, pricing of supplies and billing for goods. Supervise and support stockroom work-study students and staff schedules and duties. Receive, inspect, and facilitate delivery of materials to end users. Supervise and manage the inventory of supplies in stockroom, prepare reports of stockroom sales and activity. Work with Environmental Health and Safety to maintain an accurate database of chemical inventory and provide containers for hazardous chemical waste disposal. Refill cryogenic cylinders. Other related functions as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree or a combination of military experience or five (5) years of experience in the procurement, storage, issue, and accounting for property. One (1) year in a supervisory capacity. Must have a valid state driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Associates degree or higher. Science, preferably chemistry, background. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to lift at least 50lb, lift and retrieve items above head height, and stand on feet for extended periods of time. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, TEAMS and Outlook) Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must be able to multi task. Must be able to work independently. Professional communication skills. Other Requirements Working Conditions May work in all weather conditions. May work around chemical fumes. May work around standard office conditions.
