About This Position Night Shift Pay Differential included Sign On Bonus of $30,000 to Eligible External Candidates Relocation Bonus of up to $10,000 available to Eligible External Candidates based on their location Weekend Requirement of Every 4th Weekend Participate in bedside rounds & be a patient advocate Referral Eligible Position Location: University Hospital Our Respiratory Therapists (RT) work closely with patients to evaluate and treat cardiopulmonary disorders in various modalities and demographics. We collaborate with nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists to ensure total patient satisfaction and support. Requirements Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana. Graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program. Pass N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam within 6 months of hire date (excluded if hire date is one year after graduation). Healthcare Provider Certification. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty. Preferred ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification. Strong customer service skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential patient information. Basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR. #J-18808-Ljbffr IU Health
