Painter

This position requires completion of a respiratory fit test. To ensure the test is effective and meets safety requirements, the areas of the face where the respirator seals must be free of facial hair.

Position Description:


Inspects Unit for any prep flaws. Following blueprints and work orders, verifies paint codes and layout. Tacks off and paints using correct paint system, either gravity fed or pressure pot as required.

• Read and follow blueprints and work orders
• Tape measure accuracy
• Paint preparation
• Various air tools
• Cleaning and maintenance of painting equipment

Qualifications:

• Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills

Physical Demands:


As a Painter, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of their shift. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all Painters must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some Painters also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
