Transmission Technician

Service TechnicianThe Service Technician at Mission Chevrolet is a full time, 25.00-50.00 on a flat rate role in the auto industry. This individual contributor position is located in El Paso, Texas and will require a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team. A transmission technician diagnoses, repairs and if necessary replaces transmission assemblies. They remove/disassemble units to repair and test drive vehicles to verify repairs made. Mechanical and electrical knowledge is required. Compensation and benefits as a Service Technician at Mission Chevrolet include:401KHealth insurancePaid vacationsPaid sick leavePaid trainingAir conditioned & heated shopGreat working environment!Responsibilities include:Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.Repair and rebuild: Remove, disassemble and replace failed transmission components.Performing fluid flushes, leaks checks, and routine maintenanceRecommend and carry out necessary repairs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of services and repairs.Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques in the automotive industry.Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Communicate effectively with advisors to explain repairs and address any concerns.Collaborate with other team members to meet team and dealership goals.Requirements include:High school diploma or GED.3 years minimum previous experience as an automotive transmission technician in a dealership is preferred.ASE certifications preferred.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Valid driver's license and clean record.EEOC statement: Mission Chevrolet is an equal opportunity employer.
