Human Resources Director

A dynamic, global organization is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead U.S. HR operations. This role serves as the HR leader across business units, acting as both a strategic partner and a hands-on leader in a complex, matrixed environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR leader who thrives in growth, transformation, and multi-entity environments, and enjoys balancing strategy with execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals (direct and indirect reports)
- Oversee all functional areas including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, Compliance, and Facilities oversight
- Translate global initiatives into effective U.S.-based execution
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, aligning HR strategies with business goals
- Drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and leadership development initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and global HR teams
- Champion a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture
- Guide leaders through change, organizational design, and ongoing transformation
- Act as a balanced advocate for both employees and the business
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
- Utilize HR metrics and insights to drive decision-making
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, scalability, and integration
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Proven success in complex, matrixed, or multi-entity organizations
- Strong background across full-spectrum HR (generalist + strategic leadership)
- Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in evolving environments
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree required; HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, etc.) preferred
Pay: $150,000 - $165,000/year + Bonus
