PAY AND BENEFITS: Tepeyac offers a full compensation package to all full-time employees. Licensed providers receive time off and reimbursement for CME and reimbursement for the Colorado licensing renewal fee. Our hiring salary range for this position is $187,967-$208,000 annually, depending on years of experience and years of licensure. About us. Over the next 3-5 years, Tepeyac seeks to continue to expand medical, dental, behavioral, and pharmacy services, providing culturally relevant high-quality care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment to high-quality health care for low income, ethnically diverse populations; have experience exploring, tailoring, and implementing evidence-based tools, practices, protocols, guides, and strategies in the delivery of health care; will be highly organized, a team player, and visionary thinker. JOB SUMMARY: Function as the clinical and administrative leader for the oral health program. Provide clinical oversight and direction to all dental services, including primary, secondary and preventive dental care, and related functional areas. Ensures that the mission and goals of the organization are realized through the professional and effective delivery of oral health services. Position is 80% clinical and 20% administrative. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licensure, and Experience: Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Colorado. D.D.S. or D.M.D., and good standing with dental board and dental associations. Federal DEA license. At least five years of post-graduate dental experience. Two to five years administrative and/or supervisory experience in community-based dental or oral health program preferred. Bilingual and/or proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred. Additional advanced degree in business, public health, healthcare administration or related field of study preferred. Comfortable with administering care to pediatric patients and patients with IDD. Experience working with mobile dental equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieve Results Directly affect improvements in patient well-being through accurate and timely delivery of relevant, high quality, culturally competent and comprehensive dental care. Lead and direct the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality dental care services, programs and initiatives. Ensure that the delivery of all dental care meets or exceeds: the needs and satisfaction of all patients served. all organizational and professional standards. all clinical outcomes and related expectations. all productivity standards, goals, and expectations. all financial metrics associated with the efficient, cost-effective delivery of dental care services. Lead and direct the dental program’s quality improvement initiatives. Ensure metrics for clinical outcomes are consistently reviewed, and that the organization provides clear guidance and direction affecting ongoing improvements in the quality of care. Manage and direct all ancillary clinical services related to oral health. Ensure all clinical services functions achieve expected clinical, productivity, and financial outcomes. Manage all functional areas within budgeted guidelines. Personally provide care to patients. Collaborate with all clinic operations functions to ensure ongoing improvements in clinic productivity, patient satisfaction, and financial outcomes. Provide leadership and direction related to clinical collaboratives, studies, programs, or research related initiatives that improve the lives of our patients as well as the communities in which they live. In partnership with Operations Leadership, oversee departmental budget and fiscal management (staffing, supplies, etc.). Work in collaboration with leadership team to optimize patient care and patient satisfaction. Actively seek, study, and explore new and updated evidence-based tools, practices, protocols, guides, and strategies in the delivery of health care. Oversee the revision of clinical practice guidelines and Scope of Practice when needed by updating outdated practice protocols. Assist in the development of patient education programs. Demonstrate efforts to employ new and updated evidence-based practices. Uphold professional integrity based on nationally recognized standards including HIPAA. Operational Excellence Ensure all dental staff members are properly contracted, qualified, directed, and motivated to provide patients with high-quality services and care. Ensure all patient records, charts, and all related documentation is maintained current and consistent with best practices in the dental care field, as well as within all relevant laws and regulations. Ensure the organization meets or exceeds all governmental, regulatory and accreditation standards in all areas of day-to-day operations. Provide advice and counsel to all clinical personnel on matters related to clinical care, patient grievances and related issues. Minimize risk and exposure to the organization by monitoring trends, managing issues, coaching staff, and ensuring compliance with all clinical protocols and quality assurance guidelines. Enact policies and procedures that promote ethical practices and procedures. Contribute to Tepeyac Community Health Center’s strategic plans, medical goals and objectives, and assist in the writing of grants and development of resources for program expansion as needed. Relationship Management Collaborate and ensure favorable relationships within the organization’s leadership team. Provide leadership, insights, solutions, and support to all other functions with the organization. Manage and ensure favorable, collaborative relationships between and among all dental clinical staff. Develop a culture of healthcare professionals being open and willing to accept an integrated approach to the delivery of services. Manage and ensure favorable relationships with community partners, referral resources, funders local and state health departments, other accreditation and related resources vital to the organization’s continued success. Ensure the organization maintains a strong provider and referral network of dental offices, dentists, hospitals, physicians, and ancillary providers able to meet the medical and dental care needs of patients served. Develop effective working relationships within the local dental care community as well as with third party insurance resources. Minimize conflict, maximize services, and ensure patients treated through the clinics are done so consistent with the requirements set forth by those through whom they are insured. Leadership and Supervision In partnership with Operations Leadership, ensure the organization is appropriately staffed with a full complement of clinical staff. Foster a workplace that results in the development of a highly performing team of professionals and staff. Ensure that all staff are properly coached and directed, and that clearly defined measurements of performance and rewards are utilized to enhance individual and organizational effectiveness. Personally, and at all times, uphold and ensure all associates conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the organization’s values, mission, policies, and expectations. Perform periodic evaluation of dental personnel, including volunteer providers, to ensure standards and quality of care. Supervise and evaluate the performance of selected health center clinical staff. Solicit feedback from the provider staff. Conduct consistent periodic evaluations and review of direct reports. Foster professional development and clinical leadership, mediate conflict, and promote commitment to Tepeyac Community Health Center’s mission. Work closely with the leadership team in meeting the goals and objectives of the organization. Demonstrate expertise related to trends and issues, laws and regulations associated with the delivery of oral health services. Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and risk management standards and processes. Familiarity and experience with standards and processes established by CMS, OSHA, CDC, ADA and regulatory entities. Knowledge of federal regulations governing dental care clinical staff. Knowledge of credentialing process, delineation of clinical privileges and peer review for dental staff.
