Commercial Paint Estimator

Raleigh, NC | Full-Time | Commercial Painting

Solid Rock Recruiting has partnered with a well-established commercial painting contractor in the Raleigh market that is looking to add an experienced Paint Estimator to their team.

With more than 30 years in business , this company has built a strong reputation through quality work, repeat business, and long-standing relationships throughout the commercial construction industry.

This is an opportunity for an experienced estimator to step into a company that is stable, respected, and continuing to grow , while having the autonomy to do what they do best: build accurate estimates, develop relationships, and help win work.

• Perform detailed commercial paint takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents
• Develop accurate and competitive estimates and proposals
• Communicate with GCs, clients, vendors, and project partners throughout the bidding process
• Manage multiple estimates and deadlines
• Follow up on bids and help turn opportunities into awarded projects
• Work with ownership and the team on pricing, production assumptions, and bid strategy
• Help identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and profitability
• Provide insight and experience to help strengthen the estimating function

• 5+ years of commercial painting estimating experience
• Strong proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
• Solid understanding of commercial painting scopes and estimating
• Experience estimating projects of varying sizes and complexity
• Ability to independently complete accurate and thorough takeoffs
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with GCs and clients
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids
• Someone who takes ownership of their work and wants to contribute to the continued success of the company
