Senior Product Manager - Data Solutions

Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision : Craft, articulate, and champion the strategic vision for Nexus, ensuring alignment with platform goals and business objectives; define and communicate product objectives, key results (OKRs), milestones, risks, and critical dependencies; identify and promote value opportunities through seamless, high-performance, and compliant data access. Roadmap Ownership : Define, own, and maintain the Nexus product roadmap, balancing technical innovation with evolving customer and business requirements; establish and track short- and long-term goals, success metrics, OKRs, key deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering : Develop strong relationships with data consumers across product and engineering teams; facilitate ongoing feedback collection and requirements gathering; serve as the voice of the customer to ensure Nexus delivers value to analytics, data transformation, and downstream application teams. Technical Product Leadership : Develop a deep understanding of data lifecycle, distribution patterns, transformations, and entitlements; drive product and technical solutions that orchestrate efficient query patterns, materialize data from diverse sources, and enforce access controls for performance and compliance; leverage catalog metadata to ensure consistency and quality of delivered data. Performance, Compliance, and Risk Optimization : Partner with engineering to define and achieve performance targets (latency, throughput, reliability); ensure Nexus enforces all required entitlements, meeting data access, regulatory, legal, and contractual obligations; proactively identify and manage risks and maintain awareness of dependencies across workstreams impacting delivery and stability. Enablement & Evangelism : Educate and enable product and engineering teams to integrate with Nexus through development of guides, documentation, and best practices; advocate for Nexus adoption across client-facing products, supporting unified standards and driving increased adoption. Delivery & Continuous Improvement : Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, requirements, development, launch, and ongoing optimization; monitor key metrics and stakeholder feedback to identify improvements and drive innovation; iterate on the platform to address scalability, performance, usability, and compliance as business needs evolve. Required Qualifications 7+ years of product management experience, preferably within data platforms or API-driven ecosystems. Strong track record of defining product strategy, translating complex problems into actionable roadmaps, and delivering cross-functional outcomes through collaboration and influence. Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and experience using metrics, dashboards, and customer feedback to guide decisions. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred. Desired Qualifications Experience with modern data technologies such as Spark, Flink, Airflow, Databricks, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, query engines, and programming languages such as Python, SQL. Strong understanding of financial data platforms, industry trends, and alternative data solutions. Knowledge of structured/unstructured data creation, governance, metadata, and data pipeline distribution. Familiarity with compute logic, including aggregation, transformations, date math, symbology, and unit conversion. Understanding of distributed systems, caching, SLA management, entitlement/licensing models, and compliance practices.
