Location: 2800 Airwest Blvd, Plainfield, IN 46168

Duration: 12 months of contract

PR: $22/hr. on W2

Job Description: Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
• Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
• Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
• Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.
• Entry level position typically requiring little to no prior experience. Work is clearly defined, routine or follows standard procedures and is closely supervised. Learns operating equipment and established operational procedures. Works on well-defined clerical tasks in distribution center. Performs basic activities and records data in manufacturing/production operations or distribution center. Delivers job responsibilities following a defined standard output or set of procedures.
• Problems and issues faced are routine and solutions clearly prescribed. Provide data and information when minor changes may be required based on review.
• Communicates with contacts typically within immediate job area. Obtains and provides information requiring little explanation or interpretation. Job at this level are focused on self-development.
