Job Requirements

• Board Certified Physician Assistant required
• Active Virginia PA license required
• Active BLS certification required
• Active DEA registration required
• At least 1 year of experience in urgent care, primary care, or ED/ER setting required
• Strong comfort with independent patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues
• Ability to provide all required credentialing and compliance documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services for patients of all ages
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, casting, and joint reduction
• Manage epistaxis, cerumen impaction, minor burns, skin lesions, and orthopedic stabilization needs
• Interpret point-of-care testing, EKGs, X-rays, and rapid lab results
• Provide airway support, nebulizer treatments, and initial emergency stabilization when needed
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent care delivery
