Overview Pediatric Academic Nephrologist Applications are invited for a full-time/part-time faculty position as an Academic Nephrologist in the Department of Pediatrics at Albany Med Health System and Albany Medical College. We seek an outstanding board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to join a vigorous clinical program focused on the diagnosis and care of children with kidney diseases. The successful applicant will join as a member of a small division. The group provides clinical and academic services to support the missions of the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med Health System and Albany Medical College. Outstanding clinical care and teaching excellence are cornerstones of the program. The division oversees the onsite Pediatric Dialysis Unit and contributes to multispecialty outpatient pediatrics, including multidisciplinary and satellite clinics. The division is supported by a robust pediatric urology division, transplant surgery program, and interventional radiology." Albany Med Health System context - Albany Med Health System is a large academic medical center in Albany, New York. It is a Level I Trauma Center and the regional hub for adult and pediatric specialties. The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital houses a 60-bed NICU, 19-bed PICU, and a pediatric emergency department opened in 2018. Albany Medical College is a private medical school and a nondiscriminatory AA/EOE institution. The successful candidate will have opportunities for teaching house staff and medical students and may be eligible for a faculty appointment in Albany Medical College, with rank dependent on qualifications and experience.
