You'll develop the Guides who engage directly with students, helping them evolve into outstanding coaches rather than traditional instructors. You'll facilitate life skills workshops that students recall years afterward. You'll leverage performance data to pinpoint where students or Guides are underperforming and coach them toward excellence. You'll also maintain your own student cohort, ensuring the standards you uphold are the standards you demonstrate. The multiplier effect is substantial. Each Guide you develop influences dozens of students. Every enhancement you contribute to campus culture amplifies across hundreds of young lives. What You Will Be Doing Develop and coach Guides to execute Alpha's coaching model with consistency, enthusiasm, and rigorous standards. Facilitate dynamic life skills workshops addressing communication, concentration, feedback, leadership, and resilience for K-8 students using established playbooks. Leverage student and Guide performance data to recognize coaching opportunities, eliminate obstacles, and produce measurable progress each week. Facilitate motivation sessions that enable every student to embrace ambitious goals and consistently reach them. Sustain your own student cohort while exemplifying the coaching quality and accountability you require from all Guides. What You Won’t Be Doing Instructing academic content. Students achieve core academic learning independently via AI-powered learning platforms. Developing lesson plans or designing curriculum. Your responsibility is outstanding coaching, not producing instructional content. Managing classrooms via lectures, worksheets, or behavior management systems. Students direct their own learning, and you coach the habits enabling their success. Reducing expectations to sidestep challenging conversations. Elevated standards and authentic belief in each student's capability are inseparable. Defining success by activity rather than outcomes. Results hold greater weight than effort by itself. Leadership Coach Key Responsibilities Establish a coaching culture where outstanding Guides reliably develop students who are passionate about school, achieve academic mastery at an accelerated rate, and cultivate the resilience, leadership, and life skills necessary for success well beyond the classroom. Basic Requirements Available to work on campus in Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Fort Worth, TX; or Oklahoma City, OK (relocation assistance available). Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline. 5+ years of experience leading adults in education, learning and development, youth leadership, coaching, or comparable performance-focused environment. Demonstrated success managing a team of five or more individuals, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and challenging accountability discussions. Experience engaging directly with children ages 5-14 in educational, developmental, athletic, or youth leadership contexts. Track record of building, launching, scaling, or substantially improving a program, team, school, business, or initiative. Proven capability to utilize performance metrics and data to diagnose challenges, prioritize initiatives, and achieve measurable outcomes. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Nice-to-have Requirements Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline. Experience coaching athletics, leading outdoor or experiential education, directing camps, youth programs, or other cohort-based initiatives. Experience building or leading innovative education, EdTech, tutoring, nonprofit, or learning programs beyond traditional classroom instruction. Personal background of exceptional achievement in academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or leadership. Firm belief that education should cultivate capable, resilient, independent young people rather than merely transmit academic content. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
