As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor and control access points, verify identification and credentials, issue visitor access, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures. Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and facility concerns. Support a professional healthcare environment by providing directions, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and helping maintain orderly access to restricted areas. Minimum Requirements Possess a concealed carry weapons permit. Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, or military service. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
