Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of acute hospital experience and ARRT(CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii.

• Acute care hospital setting in Hilo, Hawaii
• CT Scan department performing diagnostic and vascular imaging
• Routine CT scans performed per radiologist protocols, with a plus for experience in vascular or cardiac imaging, trauma, or stroke cases
• Advanced procedures such as biopsies, drainages, MIP, MPR, and 3D imaging are a plus
• Canon/Toshiba CT units and Vitrea workstation preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 10-hour varied shifts with no call required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute hospital CT setting
• Current ARRT(CT) certification required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Active State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment — license required if applicable
• Ability to function independently without supervision
• Venipuncture experience a plus
• Experience with vascular or cardiac imaging, trauma, stroke, or interventional procedures (biopsies, drainages) a plus

Additional Information

• Perform routine CT scans per radiologist protocols, including MIP, MPR, and 3D reconstructions
• Candidates not currently holding an active Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license must apply for one upon acceptance of an offer
• Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exemption is required prior to contract start; flu vaccination may be administered at the employee health clearance appointment
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of their assignment; this appointment takes place at the Hilo Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory
• Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before their Monday start date to complete the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
