About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to join their team during a significant period of growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising plans and strategies for the Southern region, with a focus on a major campaign to support program expansion. This role involves managing a portfolio of high-level donors, overseeing fundraising teams, and providing leadership for various fundraising streams. The VP will also be expected to partner with events leadership, provide the team with necessary resources and support, and ensure accountability to meet or exceed fundraising goals. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have approximately 5-7 years' of relevant fundraising experience, including team management. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and the ideal candidate will be mission-driven, with the ability to effectively convey the organization's mission to donors. The role demands a professional who can thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and is adept at leveraging metrics to drive fundraising goals. Experience with a donor CRM and a proven track record of utilizing fundraising data to inform strategy are also essential. The VP will be expected to travel within the region as needed and to meet in person with the team to ensure that results are achieved.
