Manager, Accounting

The salary range for this position is $105,000 – 125,000 DOE including bonus opportunity under the Karcher Incentive Program. Responsibilities Lead & Develop: Manage and supervise the Kärcher North America (KNA) GL Accounting Team, establishing individual development plans and communicating clear job expectations. Financial Oversight: Oversee month-end close requirements and review/approve journal entries to ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company policies. Analysis & Reporting: Perform in-depth financial statement analysis, conduct monthly balance sheet reviews, and manage year-end financial statement audits with external auditors. Global Collaboration: Act as a liaison with Kärcher Group Accounting and global subsidiaries on accounting matters, intercompany reconciliations, and HBII reporting packages. Process Optimization: Continually streamline accounting systems and processes through continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies, growth, and accuracy. Qualifications & Experience Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting paired with approximately ten years of progressive accounting experience. Technical Expertise: A strong working knowledge of US GAAP and hands‑on experience navigating SAP systems. Industry Background: Previous accounting experience within the manufacturing industry. Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Google Sheets. Core Competencies: Exceptional critical thinking and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively across all levels, including executive management and global colleagues.
