Join Our Team as a Manual Machinist! Are you looking for a rewarding career in maintenance and installation? Mike's Inc. is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Wood River, IL. Prepare objects for welding by preheating, cleaning, positioning, and clamping parts Maintain and repair pumps, motors, shafts, rudders, and utility equipment systems Perform electric arc, MIG, TIG, and acetylene welding on various equipment and structures Maintain, clean, and repair welding and machinist equipment Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and band saws to shape parts Inspect, measure, and test completed parts for defects and conformance to specifications Perform record keeping and inspection related to equipment maintenance Travel as required to perform duties in various locations (10-30% travel) Technical school graduate or equivalent apprenticeship Proficient in MIG, TIG, and electric arc welding Experience operating lathe, milling machine, drill press, and related machinist hand tools Mike's Inc. is a family-owned business providing industrial and marine services, including tractor trailer and equipment repair, diesel engine repair, generator sales and service, and expert machining and fabrication.
