Welder Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $22.00 to $30.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 04:30pm )
- Perform FCAW (3G) welding and pass required weld tests on 1” thick steel
- Read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Operate air arc gouging equipment for back gouging
- Grind and prep steel using 90° grinders and air tools
- Set welding machines per procedure charts (volts, amps, wire feed speed)
- Pre-heat steel and maintain required temperatures using torches and heat sticks
- Chip slag and clean welds between passes
- Straighten steel and correct distortion as needed
- Operate stud welding equipment as required
- Follow all weld procedures and AISC standards
Welder Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
- Must read blueprints and welding symbols
- Familiarity with WP1, WP2, and WP3 welding procedures preferred
- 3+ years welding or fabrication experience preferred
- Steel-toed boots and proper PPE required
- Strong safety mindset, attendance, and work ethic required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
